Police union: Cops have a right to presumption of innocence when shooting somebody.

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/09/trump-endorsing-police-union-turns-on-him-for-saying-cop-choked-in-tulsa-shooting/

Speaking at church rally in Cleveland, Trump was asked about the shooting and gave, for the usually bombastic candidate, what could be considered a thoughtful answer.

“Now, did she get scared? Was she choking? What happened? But maybe people like that, people that choke, people that do that, maybe they can’t be doing what they’re doing, okay? They can’t be doing what they’re doing,” Trump remarked.

“I watched the shooting in particular in Tulsa. And that man was hands up,” he continued. “That man went to the car, hands up, put his hand on the car. I mean, to me, it looked like he did everything you’re supposed to do, and he looked like a really good man.”

According to FOP executive director Jim Pasco, Trump’s comments were inappropriate, stating the candidate, “Must be mindful of the due process rights and presumption of innocence accorded to all, including police officers.”

Yeeeeah. Where was the presumption of innocence when the cops shot a man who posed no threat?

And any perceived noncompliance means they have a gun and will kill them.

Even when the situation is benign. Like a broke down car on a highway.

White people who have a car break down in the middle of the road face the same consequences, right?

...

right?
