Was the Media more Critical of Sarah Palin because she is a Woman ?

Compared to the way they are reporting on Donald Trump .

Palin deserved everything she got and it was clear she was not fit to be President or anywhere in elected office.

But Donald Trump is a lot worse and he is the one at the top of the ticket. He has a history of business failures which have not made the news at all. And when they do report it they often do it as if it's a matter of debate when we have actual facts about these things.

But it's almost as if they feel it was more acceptable to report on Palin the way they did because she was a female which they don't think is ok with a man.

A few other sexist things are the focus on Clinton's health. Just looking at the 2 candidates Clinton is the one that looks healthy . she looks a lot younger for her age also while Trump looks like Shit.

Christine O'Donnell is another one that was an idiot and they had no problem reporting on it. but when it comes to male politicians they don't do it .

Sarah Palin is such a sickening human being, a piece of human feces, I may like her even less because she is a woman. I never thought about it before. Wow, I many be just a little tiny bit sexist, and I never thought about it.

On the other hand the attacks on Hillary turn my stomach, and I may support her even more because she is a woman.

Still, never thought about it.

That's how it goes....

Hillary, please bury Trump at the debate.

If her shows up.

People didn't call Palin dumb as a rock because she was a woman; they called her dumb as a rock because she was dumb as a rock.

You're right that Palin deserved everything she got. It's not that they were harder on her; I think perhaps they were correctly critical of her. But they are INCORRECTLY critical of Trump.

do the false equivalence thing and whatever else to not accurataly report on the TRUTH AND FACTS we have on him.

it's ok to reporting on the woman being a dumbass uniformed fool. but not with Trump who is even worse.

and off-topic? Let's not start bashing Christians, Muslims, Jews or Witches. Comments on those topics belong in the Religion forum. Why would a host at D.U. allow this totally off-topic remark to remain in General Discussion Forum? Admittedly, I am agnostic, who minored in Anthropology; but all religions fascinate me, which caused me to study them long after college. Over the years, I learned to respect all beliefs.

It all goes back to the post-Nixon era.

Republicans blamed the media not only for the fall of Nixon but for the loss of the Vietnam War.

They determined it would NOT happen again and they started changing the structure of the news so they could plant people into the decision making positions. The news went from costing money to making it. It went from a necessary service in the public interest to earn a spot on the airwaves to being subjected to the same ratings review as regular shows. Networks used to maintain a network of bureau chiefs globally. Now they pay multi-million dollar salaries to a handful of media personalities to spout their opinion. They don't report the news, they comment on it.

Try reading a transcript of nearly any speech by Donald Trump. One cannot grammatically parse his sentences. They ramble with repetitious phrases and do not form coherent paragraphs or themes.

His stream of consciousness word salads are as impossible for me to follow.

your point is the best, you're not gonna believe what an amazing point you just made, it's incredible. You've got all the best points. You're gonna make that point, and let me tell you folks, we've got big problems and we better do something fast because this point you're making, you're gonna make you pay for it. I think you've got it in a nutshell. They're ALL dumb as rocks and at least somewhat nutty. But Herr Hair also knows how to play into people's worst fantasies and has built a myth around his business "competence" even though his four bankruptcies and the illegal practices of his "Foundation" put the lie to that competence.

When Trump criticized the female officer who shot the black guy in Tulsa I realized he would have NEVER said those things about a male cop. Never.

So yeah, Palin got more shit because she's a woman.
