During the commercials. It isn't much time as witnessed when Hillary was late getting back from one in the dem debates. They do get then though.

“There are no commercial breaks,” the source told the Drudge Report Friday. “Period.”

It might be true but I would like to see that from another source besides drudge or someone quoting drudge.

I find it difficult to believe that bathroom breaks would not be negotiated. Possible but hard to believe.

It's streaming everywhere. How can they manage commercial breaks on different networks? Of course, I could be wrong, but I have yet to hear anything contradicting this. 90 minutes, no breaks of any kind.

All debates will be moderated by a single individual and will run from 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time without commercial breaks. As always, the moderators alone will select the questions to be asked, which are not known to the CPD or to the candidates. The moderators will have the ability both to extend the segments and to ensure that the candidates have equal speaking time. While the focus will properly be on the candidates, the moderator will regulate the conversation so that thoughtful and substantive exchanges occur. The CPD is in discussion with technology and civic groups that will provide data to the moderators to assist them in identifying the subjects that are most important to the public.

I don't care how old you are...90 minutes. Maybe you gotta pee. But 70 year olds? Standing? I'm pushing 60. No big deal. But it would be nice to know that I could go pee. I guess part of debate prep is "don't drink coffee or water or anything."

Ridiculous you'd get your knickers in a twist over this.

go at least 2 hours without having to use the bathroom. Although they do say that when you get to their age, you should "never trust a fart"...but of course, Trump will stink up the place anyway. My dad can stand for 90 minutes no problem. He also walks a mile every day when he gets up at 6:30 am. Not sure how old you are, atman, but my parents call 60-somethings "young people".
I don't say this to you in anger...I say it with a gentle smile...Just to give you prospective about older folks. It inspires me that two people who are almost 70 can be as incredibly smart, brave and strong as Hillary (and also as incredibly nasty, rude, and immature as Trump) Peace.

I think we over-60's should start a thread about how long we can hold it. It might be enlightening for some of the people who think being a senior citizen means wetting ones pants. (Actually there are days when the entire DU seems to be wetting their pants but that has nothing to do with age!)

I am skylucy, aged 62 and I have not peed in----3 HOURS

I'm 69 and last winter we went to the Florida Keys, staying in Marathon. One day we got up very early, drove to Key West, took a ferry over the Dry Tortugas, had lunch and spent most of the day, then drove back to Marathon. Almost 15 hours and I never went to the bathroom. Can't say the same for my husband, but I was fine.

I am 48 and I could not handle that long w/o a bathroom break. I also do not do well without water which would not be a good mix for me. I think he demanded this because she is a woman....well, OK, maybe not but would you be surprised if he had?

My father could easily hold his urine for 90 minutes at that age. My mother could not.

I'm like my father. When I finally go, the stream just about cracks the porcelain.

My brother, on the other hand, is like Mom and needs to urinate all the time. He's been that way for years, even when he was young. It gets a little annoying to take him on long drives.
