Next debate: 10/9. What is Trump's campaign's way forward to next debate?

Can Trump be any different than he was this time?

How can they make sure he just won't go off the rails again?

I don't think that personal attacks worked for him this time, whether it was Rosie O'Donnell or Miss Universe, so I think going low would be a disaster.

so coaching isn't going to work. Memorizing speeches will make him look robotic and that will turn off the haters. Allowing him to bluster and be himself is going to alarm even more fence sitters and might even cost him votes among the star struck fans of his show.

About their best option would be to check him into the hospital for some made up disease, give him an honorable reason to miss it and let Pence be his surrogate. I doubt he'll do that, it would make him look "weak." He will, of course, try to claim scheduling conflicts, not realizing that the debates have priority and no one is going to buy that.
