in every general election since the advent of public opinion polling.
The LA Times/USC poll is balanced by the Reuters/Ipsos poll which shows Clinton up by 6.

hrc up 6 is not an outlier ,,,,,not when all the other polls are showing her up from 4 to 10 pts. By definition Outliers are not a constant factor. Hell just pull a number out ur ass and use it..... thats what I did,,,,, good enough for them , good enough for me!

Polls, by their nature, can by random chance give an unusual result, because they happen to pick a group of people with an unusual bias not apparent from their demographics. This LA Times/USC poll has been consistently far more pro-Trump than anything else, including things like Rasmussen or Fox News poll which tend to favour Republicans. Other polls get to pick a new set of people each time; but a tracking poll has to stick with its initial pick.

They hand picked a group of Trump supporters and they are keeping them for the entire election season.

it's use by pollsters in their average poll numbers give that perception that Trump is not in as bad a spot as he is. Everybody know in how much "perception" is worth in the world of politics, and I would bet the farm some Trump Oligarch is paying well for it.

There is speculation that polls where you don't have to interact with a person may give different results from telephone polls with a real person on the line.
There is no clear explanation but it may have to do with the anonymity.

This poll also weights the results based on how the person voted in the last election.

there are other online polls that show HRC winning so who knows.
