I thought it was her. I'll bet she got shafted in the divorce because he produced this return with this yuuuge loss and claimed he couldn't pay her what was promised under the prenup.
If Trump now claims there was a mistake, then she gets to open up the divorce settlement and the IRS gets to go after the Donald. Revenge is best when served cold.

she never struck me as someone respectable to begin with. I remember the circus surrounding his affair with her and how she proudly flaunted being the mistress. She famously showed up on a family vacation in Colorado and fought with his wife -- who does that? And then the pregnancy (the last, desperate resort) finally got him to marry her. When you throw whatever dignity you have out the window for a man, don't be surprised when he treats you like shit, especially a man who treats everyone like crap.

Having said that, if it was her who released these returns, good on her for taking some sweet revenge.

I can think of who would have access to the return, since it was filed jointly. I very much doubt that anyone from his accounting firm would have released this--it would mean his/her job, but Marla has every right to make her tax return public, and she's beyond his reach as far as retribution goes. I really don't know who else it could have been.

Once, when he was married to Marla Maples, we were waiting and waiting at the airport to take off on his private plane for Palm Beach.
