Obama, the adult in the car, has both his hands on the steering wheel.

The GOP has both feet on the brake pedal, is pulling up the parking brake, and GOP in the back seat are hacksawing through the gas line.

700,000 jobs per month were being cut under Bush the last several months of his term

Obama barely squeaked by a stimulus package that was too small, but

Now we're getting around 200,000 per month being ADDED

But oh, woe is the GOP! It's just not good enough! The economy is so horrible! People are hurting!

Yeah, they want to get back in and pass a Bush tax cut on steroids. Yeah, THAT'LL fix the economy!

It's a good thing (for them) that so much of the electorate is just bone stupid

where appropriate

we've had 3 Repug presidents and 2 Dem Presidents.

1981 -1989 Ronald Reagan
1989 - 1993 G.H.W.Bush
1993 -2001 Bill Clinton
2001 - 2009 G.W.Bush
2009 - 2016 Barack Obama

Ronald Reagan started the economic demise and the beginning of the end of the middle class in the U.S. He was followed up by G.H.W.Bush that continued the slide economically with trickle down economics. Bill Clinton finished his Presidency with a surplus. G.W.Bush brought us more tax cuts; a unbudgeted war; 9/11 and almost complete collapse of our economy. Barack Obama pulled us out from the brink of economic disaster and turned things around.

So 20 of those 35 years were headed by a Repug administration and look where that took us.

I know that Hillary is running against Trump - but I still believe that there is time between now and the election to concentrate some of her campaign on running against the Repugs that continually took us down the path of economic disaster.

President Obama has done a banner job of turning things around in spite of all the roadblocks that the Repugs threw up on him to make him a one-term president and sully his legacy. But just think of where we would be if we had a cooperative Senate and House instead of a Repug controlled Congress.

We need to get the Dems out there Federal, State and Local as well as Hillary's campaign to start turning some of the campaign onto the Repug Party in general and point out their poor record and where they took this country. We got 5 weeks left to make this point to the American People. I just hope we use it wisely instead of putting all the emphasis just on Trump.

I think if this history of Repug economic disaster is pointed out to the Millennials that Hillary will pull them into her camp.

I'm not advocating trying to convince Repugs to believe in the facts - cause as you say they probably won't and the love make believe. Why I think that the Dems and Hillary should start making this about the Repugs and less about Trump is to sway the undecideds and the Millennials. There are still voters out there ripe for the taking and many of them will - in fact - listen to reason and the facts.

Trump's supporters have long declared war over Republicans that have controlled the party and Congress.
