Why does Mitt sound so much like Buzz Lightyear? He has such a disturbingly fake voice.

I thought it was hard to listen to W., but Mitt is as bad, in his own robotic way.

2. W had a silly contemptuous voice. Irritating didn't even touch it.

Mitt's voice tone is tin-like and his inflection is so fake.

Fake, fake, fake. Sincerity, empathy, caring, and compassion --- all fake.

He hesitates too much. A sign that his thought process is muddled. He does not know what to say. He has no confidence in getting his points across and it shows when he attempts to respond to an average hard working American.

3. He is a sociopath who likes to pretend he is something he is not, a policeman, and has to adopt

the correct voice patter to fit the situation.

9. Personally, I think it's contempt.

He simply sounds contemptuous of anyone to whom he's speaking, one on one or in a speech. He is a little dissociated, in his own head rather than with the person he's with, slightly irritable when asked anything directly. He doesn't seem to see any question as an invitation, but as a challenge. It's so strong it gets in the way of good judgment, as with that $10,000 bet with Perry. He's so shocked at being questioned that his mouth literally hangs open, then he shoots something off that's a poor attempt at humor or a slightly snarky counterattack.

Sociopath? No. But I do think he believes himself annointed and any indication to the contrary gets through the veneer he's trying to maintain of being anything other than just plain contemptuous of his "lessers", i.e. us.
