I found a NYT piece that talks about his aides wresting the Twitter account from him, and a Vox piece with more details. Neither provide lots of sources, but it does seem more than speculation that he is at least being kept away from it.

If he is elected, he will not have the motivation he now has that he fears personal defeat to make him suppress his own desires. We all know that the fate of anyone outside of himself means nothing to him.
