The GOP Civil War Is Just Beginning

The GOP Civil War Is Just Beginning
Formerly conciliatory Trump skeptics are backing away from the president-elect.

A mere week after its election-night triumph, the Republican Party is fracturing more deeply and sharply than anyone had anticipated. Donald Trump’s simultaneous appointments of Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and alt-right publisher Stephen Bannon—an establishment moderate and a white-nationalist renegade—to co-equal positions set the stage for what promises to be all-consuming internecine warfare in the White House and beyond.

1. There is no need to see a silver lining in every cloud but, yes, I think this is what will happen.

As much damage as will be done by Trump and his Deplorables, this will only further diminish the GOP. Trump's win was a fluke. The GOP will be as much a victim as everyone else.

Rotten to the core with constant internecine warfare between various groups.

A stiff wind from mother Russia, China or NK will blow it all down in an heartbeat and expose the rats.

The Trump brothers making foreign policy, and Ivanka deciding economic policy. There is an almost incomprehensible level of ignorance at the center of the new administration.

God help us all!

We are in a heap of shit and we must hold our Representatives to the fire. They will be needing all the support we can muster.
A fire wall of resistance is going to be required and we need to start working on 2018 elections asap.
