"White House insists hackers didn't sway election, even as recount begins"

“We stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people."

Of course, the denial of hacking is not the denial of fraud, but why do you think that the administration released this statement?

3. I think it's calculated

to keep distance.

The White House has to maintain the impression of taking the high road.

4. Because Obama has been the brunt of conspiracy theories for 8 years. He's

probably had it up to you know where, as have I.

He probably doesn't want to see Democrats advancing the same kind of junk as GOPers, and he's right.

We lost, enough with the whining and conspiracy theories.

Again, I would love to eat crow.

6. Nothing wrong with a recount though, no?

I'm not about to claim there was hacking without evidence, but I am curious to see the results of a recount. You just never know.

8. If I thought it will be the end of it, great. There will be another conspiracy theory to replace it.

We'll look and sound like whiners and Birthers before it's over.

14. Glad we have folks like you monitoring things. Maybe you have identified some good examples.

Please share the facts, not speculation.

5. Because who cares if you have more votes than actual voters and who cares if a certain

State shredded registration forms in ONLY dem districts. There was a shit ton of fraud in this election. It was stolen period. The Election results are NOT legit and acting like an ostrich isn't going to change the fact. If we can't have confidence in our elections then we might as well pack it in here. Stop acting like we don't see the fucking 8000 ton elephant in the room.

7. nothing to be gained by saying hackers DID sway the election

other than being asked to "prove it" and then being decimated if they can't. (remember, dems are not allowed to claim anything unless they have airtight proof that would hold up in a court of law. only the GOP can say anything they want and have it normalized by the media)

the vote totals are going to say what they say, regardless of what the white house says, so nothing to gain by piking the bear.

10. I would like the White House better if they stayed out of it.

Does it matter to them if the election results we heard on Nov.8 were actually accurate? Nobody who gives a crap about democracy should be against recounts and audits.

If "our election results" are so perfect, they will hold up under intense scrutiny. And if "our election results" are the result of fraud or cheating the system, we the people deserve to know the truth, and to have the opportunity to correct the situation.
