Adele Song Wakes Child from Coma

While most great music artists can boast changing fans’ lives with their songs, Adele may have saved one.

Her hit “Rolling in the Deep” is said to be responsible for waking a 7-year-old British girl from a months-long coma, according to Us Weekly.

Charlotte Neve’s coma was the result of a brain hemorrhage in mid-April followed by two operations. The young girl’s family didn’t have much hope after doctors decided she was unlikely to survive. Her mother Leila told British newspaper The Telegraph that she was preparing her goodbyes.

But then Adele came on the radio singing Charlotte’s favorite song, and she surprised everyone by opening her eyes and smiling.

(I have also heard instances of people with Alzheimer's who couldn't recall the names of their loved ones...yet can remember the lyrics to their favorite songs. Maybe music makes a much deeper, indelible impression upon our hearts, bodies, minds and soul that we're just now discovering.)
