So, let me get this straight.
HHillary is vilified because she had a private email server which could possibly have been hacked (but wasn't) for classified documents, but Patraus did share classified documents and he gets a cabinet position.
Hillary is vilified for giving speeches to the tune of $200,000 to Goldman Sachs but an actual Goldman Sachs executive gets a cabinet position. Hillary is accused of skimming from the Clinton Foundation, but she didn't according to independent charity monitors, but Trump loses his foundation rights for proven skimming. Then Trump wins the election because Hillary can't be trusted. And some of you say we can't refer to Trump voters as "stupid"?

4. Ignorant, stupid, moronic...
Ignorant, stupid, moronic or other unpleasant adjectives don't explain Trump voters because they knew exactly what they were doing.
I posted this before: Ever see Mississippi Burning.
Remember the scene where Gene Hackman's character tells Willem Dafoe's character that his poor dad killed his black neighbor's mule because he couldn't stand to see a black man doing better than him. There was a lot of that with the Trump voters. |

The bar for measuring the mean intelligence level of the electorate is now lower than snake shit in a tire track. We're all doomed. |

29. Medicare
And don't forget that tRump ran on a populist program that promised a lot to working class whites, but this past Wednes went on TV to make his first policy pronouncement, namely that Medicare will be phased out starting this Spring. Not that he was going to submit a plan to Congress, mind you, but that Congress would begin with the phase out this Spring.

28. I'm not big on blanket statements.
I think there are probably some people who voted for Trump for reasons that don't necessarily involve bigotry or hate. No doubt it was a primary factor for many, if not most, but I think we might be overlooking some useful information if we just assume that bigotry and hatred were the only drivers. I don't think it's quite that simple. Life and people rarely are.
None of the reasons are adequate, however. There's no excuse for voting for Trump. Regardless of the reasons, the result's the same. |

Several of my relatives proudly declared that they voted for this idiot. I tried to reason with my sister but ended up feeling as if I was talking to a brick wall. I had never known her to be soooo brainwashed/ stupid. I thank God that I moved to a blue state or I would probably lose my mind. When things get real bad as we all know they will with this administration I might get a small bit of satisfaction in telling her I told you so unfortunately it is not enough as the whole country minus the 1% will be hurting. I have refused to talk to my family since the election and I am not in a hurry to talk to them at this time.
Thank God DU is here or I might go completely bonkers! |

39. Trump sold them a bill of goods
Clinton told voters the truth about what was possible. Trump told them fantasies where everything could be made great again- cheap healthcare, lots of good paying jobs, the rest of the world cowering in the face of our might. Enough fell for the con job to win him enough states to get the EC win.
And the media now seems to be a willing partner in the con, witness the Carrier con job, where 700 jobs are 'saved' but 1300 lost, at the cost of $1000/job in taxpayer money, and with no certainty of this being permanent. But you would think Don the Con had walked on water and made Carrier's CEO agree to his every term, just by force of nature. ![]() |

And those who pulled the lever, etc for The Cretin who aren't self-defeating idiots have proven themselves to have a part of their soul as permanently stained. And I must, for the time being, deal with that on a personal level as well as a national outrage level.
