1. Hai voluto la biccecleta, adesso pedela!

You wanted the bike, Now pedal!

An old Italian saying...

5. Io sono perfettamente d'accordo!

He made his bed. Now he gets to sleep in it. I don't care HOW much more fancy his digs are in his Manhattan tower.

I think you're exactly right--he wants the attention. His call to Taiwan is a pretty good indication that he is not interested in learning how to do the job he sought. He is more concerned with having his portrait on the East Wing wall than having his ass in the Oval Office. But don't get too complacent--it's not like Pence at that desk would be any kind of improvement.

30. Typical tRump statement

His people and the Taiwanese pres people set up the arrangement of who would call who, what time etc...so technically yes.

31. No, I checked, and you are quite correct.

Trump was wrong to take the call, should have known the ramifications, but the call did indeed originate from Taipei.

3. Yeah, I've pretty much thought that since he took the lead in the primaries.

In a way, he's done everything he could to ensure that he not win.

His supporters (and the GOP voter suppression machine) wouldn't let him lose.

6. no no, he wanted to WIN

he just doesn't want to actually do the WORK (never mind the fact that he is severely unqualified for the postion)

9. I'm not sure he even wanted to win.

I think he wanted enough attention to expand the brand. Not so sure he wanted to win. I think he was afraid he might.

Though, with his ego, you could certainly be right. I agree that he doesn't want to do the work involved.

15. OF COURSE he wanted to win

it's an an extreme narcissist's DREAM

I have seen through Donald Trump from the start - the popularity of his stupid TV show APPALLED ME - WHY do people find bullying entertaining?

27. I ponder this question a lot, Skittles.

I have no answer. All thru the campaign, whenever one of the talking heads would rt out the "appealing to his base" phrase, I would find myself saying, "Appealing to the base is right - to people's baser instincts."

Isn't a mark of civilization the ability to rise ABOVE our baser instincts? The loss of civility we are experiencing is profoundly depressing.

18. whoever put up the last closing argument ad had victory in mind.

It shook me so badly because I could see it was addressing Democrats. Whether or not he o.k'd the ad is another question. I think it was everywhere.

Hillary's team's should have had a similar closing argument. If they did, I didn't hear it.

32. His wet dream was to win the popular vote and lose the Electoral College.

That way, he could spend every day for the rest of his life bragging that he was the "true winner" and "people's champion", and the only reason he's not in the White House is because of the "rigged system" and "crooked Hillary". And he would never have to deal with the responsibility of being President!

4. He has his own form of...

...Attention Deficit Disorder - he can never, never, never have/get enough.

Maybe it needs an acronym of its own -DFTBHD

Donald
Fucking
Trump
Black
Hole
Disorder

I thought, right from the get go, that he would relish the title, the pomp and circumstance, the recognition, etc, but there was NO WAY IN HELL he had any interest in the JOB.

7. Perfect summary of his viewpoint.

I've seen 4 year-olds with better-developed senses of responsibility. God help us and this country.

8. I don't think he'll make it for four years.

He'll have a mental or physical meltdown long before his term is up.

We might as well get used to saying President Pence.

He'll probably have to hold these "adoration rallies" regularly just to avoid total collapse under the weight of the job.

Already he's being manipulated and used as a distraction.

The people he is putting into power are going to steal everything and leave us holding the bag. And the media will focus on his tweets and circus all the while.

You know he has no clue that the first family pay for their own meals, clothing and incidentals. Only State dinners are exempt.
