We are focused on organizing an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy while following all rules, regulations and appropriate standards of conduct, Ephsteyn told the Wrap.
Musicians Lee Greenwood and Garth Brooks are reportedly already speaking with transition officials, but a source told the Wrap Trumps team hopes to do better than Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, two performers who supported Trumps campaign. The source also suggested aides are looking for high-profile performers like Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars.
Timberlake, along with wife Jessica Biel, were active supporters of Trumps rival Hillary Clinton during the campaign, attending a fundraiser for the Democratic candidate in August. As for Mars, a website reported in November that there is a total lack of information regarding [his] religion and political beliefs.

(182,878 posts)That started playing it after taps at 5:00. At first no one was sure if it was a part of formation or how we were supposed to stand. After several weeks finally I turned to our Chief Scout (my section leader) and said, "Do we really need to stand here and listen to this crap?" He said we could fall out as usual.
HATE that song.

(4,835 posts)At one time EVERYONE liked it. I remember it was used in Reagan's '84 campaign, and there were lots of flags and saluting and shit like that.
I think that ship has sailed. It's time to pick a new republican theme song. I recommend something by Weird Al.

(100,102 posts)And you could have got any number of great musicians who would be happy to play the inauguration like Bruce Springsteen or Neil Young. But nope you voted for Orange Hitler and we have to scrape from the bottom of the barrel and we're stuck with Lee Greenwood and Ted Nugent.

USA Freedom Kids Are in Dispute With Trump
By KAREN ZRAICKJULY 27, 2016
A patriotic song-and-dance routine by a trio of young girls at a Donald J. Trump rally in Pensacola, Fla., in January drew huge numbers of views online.
But now, the manager of the group, known as USA Freedom Kids, says the campaign broke a verbal agreement over the chance to perform a second time. He is considering a lawsuit.
The manager, Jeff Popick, 54, a real estate developer in Marco Island, Fla., said on Tuesday that more than six months of back-and-forth with the Trump campaign had hit an impasse.
It really is rather mind-boggling that he has outright forsaken the USA Freedom Kids, he said in a phone interview. His plan to sue was first reported by The Washington Post.
