I'd like to propose a Social Justice/Economic Justice Dialog Group.
We really need to find some way of changing the dynamic on this.
The idea of this group would be to have people on each side of this dynamic work to find different ways to communicate with each other
To discuss what each faction in this really supports(and, more importantly, actually DOESN'T support, because I think there's a lot of misconceptions flying around) what kind of things are red flags or sources of distrust for each side, and the areas in which, contrary to popular belief, common ground may actually exist.
This would be about the future, not the past, not about the question of who should or should not have been the nominee this year or who should be the nominee NEXT time.
And, for anyone who finds me personally too polarizing a presence, I would agree to stay the hell out of any actual discussions in it if people feel that would be better(though I'd be glad to have people send me private messages on this if they wished to do so).
I think we are all generally for justice FOR all, that we actually agree far more than we disagree, that there is the capacity to find ways to interact with each other that are better than the ways people on either side of this question have managed to find recently, and that we can find a common ground justice agenda if we are willing to work towards that.
Just wanted to put this out there for discussion. This will be my only post in THIS thread.
