It was beautiful! Joy Reid is standing in for Tweety and Michael Steele was a guest.

He started to say that Trump wouldn't be in violation of the law with his business. And also tried to say that the constitution doesn't apply to the president.
She shut his ass down good, and she let him know that it would be bribery by taking emoluments from other governments and that the constitution did too apply to the president.

Steele was hard put to get any words in sideways.

Really?

Wow, I guess they only mean white presidents with an "R" after their name don't have to follow laws or that silly ol' document!

their guy isn't supposed to have limits.

Now, if the guy has a D after his name, then all the limits! They'll even make up some new ones, like he can't appoint a SC justice!

I don't, either.

We should start thinking - AND DOING - like the CONS do. We're WAY too nice. Stupid. Naive. Pushovers.

And we should be pressing the "news" media (I use that term advisedly) to stay on trump like a dog on a pants leg. And lest they suddenly develop amnesia about any reportorial how-to's - because they all simply MUST go easy on trump and keep on giving him the benefit of the doubt long after he's proven he doesn't deserve it - they should be reminded: "Don't know how? Pretend it's HILLARY!"

I actually tweeted that awhile back. It got several likes and retweets.

I was here years ago when W. got selected and I was in need of like minded people to talk to. I then sort of faded out when Obama got elected and came back with this travesty of an election. I could not remember my old user name or password and I have a new e-mail so.... anyway good to be back just trying to keep from freaking out over all that has been happening! Thanks to D.U for helping me stay sane through all this.

I LOVE Joy Reid. She's the best thing on there! I'd love to see her replace either Chris Matthews or Chris Hayes. Matthews can go bye-bye. Chris Hayes should take over Andrea Mitchell's show - and she should get the royal heave-ho. But Joy Reid deserves, and has earned, a prime time Monday-through-Friday slot. She's THAT good.

They also need to dump all that neocon garbage (With All Due Reichspect and Morning Joke) and bring back Keith Olbermann.

My impression is that Msnbc's problem is mostly Phil Griffin - who, unfortunately, calls the shots. I remember reading that no one else at the channel had any objections to bringing Olbermann back - except Griffin (whom Olbermann apparently insulted on his way out).

While no one likes to be disrespected, Phil Griffin needs to either put his ego aside for a bit, or simply step aside. These times demand nothing less I think.

Thanks again!
