(37,161 posts)All conservative pundits, relentlessly slagging Democrats, continually pimping "Clinton scandals" when it was them just recirculating their own hot air, always redbaiting anything they don't like, ready to burn the country down if they don't get their way. Every foreign policy they don't care for is "Munich".
The Disownership Society can try to claim they had nothing to do with Trump all they want, but they paved the road and they can't hide their asphalt stink.

(24,303 posts)is he is just articulating what most people on this forum feel already. He and other pundits like him are no smarter than the rest of us, they are just more articulate than most. I feel the same way about George Will. I always read him not because I thought he was more intelligent, but because he is a great wordsmith and I am an avid fan of the craft of the English language.
Be careful not to confuse being articulate with intelligence. The two can go hand in hand, but they are often confused for each other.

(40,416 posts)He graduated from Harvard Medical School. He helped compile the DSM-III.
So he is more or less qualified to diagnose Drumpf.
Frankly, I am not a Krauthammer fan, however this is nevertheless interesting.

(10,173 posts)So don't expect consistency. Charlie is already falling in line - he said Trump should turn the UN into condos because of the recent resolution against Isreali settlements.
UTUSN
(70,711 posts)First, for these several years that I never looked up his bio, I suspected that his wingnuttiness derived solely from Israel-First, but then there's all this:
* CARTER administration. Now, for me, there was a nest of vipers at Jimmy's breast: Tweety (who traitored over to RAYGUN), CADDELL, David RUBENSTIN/Carlyle Group (although a humanitarian/philanthropist). And now I know, this KRAUTHAMMER. A nest of vipers.
* Coined the "RAYGUN Doctrine".
* "contributed to creating the DSM5" - the diagnostic manual for psychiatry. Funny that "contributed to creating" is same verbiage about "contributed to inventing" the internet that got twisted and hung on Al GORE.
* Is FOR legalizing abortion, AGAINST "intelligent design"/creationism, FOR stem cell research, FOR the Two State solution (same as the brilliant exegesis KERRY delivered yesterday (40? yrs of U.S. policy), FOR science (evolution), FOR energy tax to stimulate conservation.
So, as a psychiatrist/MD he's qualified to diagnose DRUMPF. And despite his points on our side, he eviscerates Dems/OBAMA/CLINTON every night.

(5,730 posts)Never could stand him. However, you give him a pretty good resume. Geez, he is Not crazy! This elevates him to the 1% of the Republicans. Let him attack, if he is pro choice, pro 2 state, etc., then, we need him now. Our government has descended into toddlers and neanderthals. We need to find sane people who have influence among them. Remember, we control NO branch of government, and even the moderate and left press helped BIGLY elect Putin, excuse me, Trump. Chris Matthews interviewed/ fawned over Conway a full hour right b4 a debate. He cried on election night, but he too was responsible.
