Trump's Buddy already started to try to be buds with him-Incoming Democratic Sen. Leader Schumer

Kerry May Have ‘Emboldened Extremists on Both Sides’

"President-elect Donald Trump may end up turning to an unexpected ally -- incoming Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer -- to pursue several major elements of his agenda."

Senator Chuck Schumer, who will be taking over as Senate Minority Leader when the new Congress is sworn in, released a statement critical of John Kerry‘s speech on Israel earlier today.

Collaborators, Vichy Democrats, Quisling Democrats, Fifth Column Democrats are unacceptable.

If you don't stand up for something you will fall for anything.

Especially Blue Dogs. Let's just make sure that, when they do cross the aisle, it's for relatively minor things. If they start going wobbly on PPACA, Medicare, Abortion Rights, LGBTQ rights, etc., THEN we riot. If Schumer just wants to blow hot air about Kerry's speech on Israel for his strongly pro-Israeli hardliner consituents, so what? I would, of course, draw the line at things like tearing up the Iran Nuclear Deal or going to war with Iran but, at least at the moment, that's not what we're talking about.

...especially since Trump isn't even clear or certain about his own views on Israel, not understanding what settlements actually are, for example.

I'm not in agreement with Schumer on Israel, but defining the Dem leader through the lens of his decades-long defense of Israel is wrong.

This article unfairly conflates Schumer's support for Israel with his intentions regarding the Trump administration. I believe this is nothing more than an orchestrated smear campaign designed to divide Democrats before they've even begun. When has the Democratic party ever been unified on Israeli politics?
