As I read about the sanctions and the Russian operatives in this country...

I am not so sure that DU was not hacked by these same operatives on election day.

It seems logical to me.

Perhaps they attributed more influence to DU than we actually deserve, or maybe they thought we were part of the Democratic Party establishment?

It seems more likely with this breaking story about the sanctions.

some American tRump troll. I still don't. Russians have years of experience hacking and interfering with countries, they have means, motive and opportunity. Also, I have been a DUer since 2004 I trust the administrators here and know that it would have to be a serious malicious attack on DU to take the site down for days/weeks. The DU hack had to be a coordinated intentional sophisticated effort.
