How far down the Cold War 2.0 rabbit hole have we burrowed?

The expulsion of Russian diplomats seems just. Though, I can't help but feel like we are now hurtling toward a rather dangerous situation with Russia.

Do others here feel the same way or are you more optimistic that this can be resolved in a diplomatic, peaceful manner?

people. President Obama is sending a clear signal. And there will be more to come shortly.

Some of it will not be in the news, though. A little tit-for-tat regarding cyber attacks, I imagine. We have skills, too, here.

Don't worry too much about this. Just watch the news and you'll see that there will be some more interesting stuff.

7. My concern is this is part of a larger series of confrontations between the two countries.

Each one seemingly worse than the last. It does seem to me that cutting off diplomatic ties with Russia is inching us closer to open conflict.

The Russian embassies and consulates here remain open for business and vice Versa.

I sure as hell am worried about it spiraling down but I fancy myself a patriot and ANY country hacking us, our corporations and businesses. It sticks right the hell in my craw that they would screw with our elections. That dipshit Trump is the president, fine, but he needs to man up and be ready to punch some faces. He's going to be president of the ALREADY GREAT NATION of AMERICA. He needs to fucking act like it rather than some Manchurian stooge.

5. I think they were expelled solely so Trump's inviting them back stands out.

Puts the GOP in a rather interesting situation from a National Security point of view.

I don't believe anybody actually wants a war. The problem with brinksmanship is that you may end up over the cliff.

This is entirely appropriate, and is not going to bring on the Apocalypse. Anyway, it will all be rainbows and kisses with tongues, once Comrade Trump takes office. That's when thins will get seriously dangerous.
