Resurrecting Dead Stars "Rogue One" Introduces Digitized Peter Cushing Looking As Alive As Ever. .
The movie "Rogue One" introduces an indistinguishable digitized Peter Cushing in several scenes. Darth Vader also makes appearance. Was he digitally created as well? Marks the beginning of a new era in film?.
I was amazed and confused at seeing Peter Cushing now long dead in the latest Star Wars movie. C3PO and R2D2 also made an appearance in this prequel to the 1st Star Wars movie. The Admiral character was so real that it was indistinguishable from the real actors in the movie itself. Honestly I began to think that Cushing was still alive it was so good.
This new "real" technology is a blessing and a curse because on the one hand you could resurrect stars long dead and put them into modern movies in totally new roles. It also represents a possible curse to real live actors if you can replicate anyone and put it on the screen. The new images looking like the real thing could not be distinguishable from a real live person.
We would be facing an new era where reality and made up reality blend perfectly enough to be indistinguishable.
I forgot we may already be there with Trump. New digitized content now makes it possible to fabricate any event and show it as actually happening and the public would "never" know the difference.
