So, which inauguration speeches will Trump plagiarize?
Either he or whoever writes his speeches is no doubt looking at past inaugural speeches for clues to what he should say. Trump, himself, has few original thoughts. He lacks the creative gifts. He has no concept of what an incoming President should say after swearing his oath of office. Donald J. Trump is a dolt.
Listen closely, if you take the time to watch or listen to his speech. Listen for echos of past Presidents' words on those occasions. I guarantee you'll hear them. He'll borrow from JFK, no doubt, and from Reagan and even Nixon as he plans what he should say. Some of it will be actual quotes, since Trump believes that nobody has a better memory than his own.
I won't be surprised if he borrows from President Obama's speeches, either. In Obama, he has a rich resource of material from which to steal. Listen for pithy lines he might speak, and then search for them on Google. You'll probably find them pulled, verbatim, from speeches by other Presidents.
Trump has no idea how to be a President. Odds are he will never figure it out, however long he manages to hold that high office. Like Ronald Reagan did, he'll rely on his VP, along with his advisers and cabinet members for cues on what to do and how to do it. That makes him singularly dangerous, since he has surrounded himself with the very worst of the political and economic class.
Anyhow, listen to his speech for what he steals from others. He'll be stealing from all of us soon enough.
