Is Trumpism a rejection of GOP ideology or its apotheosis ?

The fact that so few Republican voters crossed party lines in this election suggests the latter.

The Trump voters disavowed liberalism, the Third Way, conservative and liberal republicanism, libertarianism. They know what they don't want. They just don't know what they want. Sometimes it looks like they're on their way to anarchy.

Racism, anti-worker ideology, misogyny, intolerance, nativism are all part of the core of the GOP.
