From the Reddest of Red States: The People Tell Their US Representative How They Feel About Obamacare

Republican US Representative, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, tweeted out a poll on getting rid of Obamacare. Here's what her constituents had to say about that:

Marsha Blackburn

✔ @MarshaBlackburn

Do you support the repeal of Obamacare? RT if you do, and share what you want to see as the replacement.

@MarshaBlackburn Repealing without a simultaneous replacement is deeply irresponsible. GOP has had six years to come up with a plan.

1:14 PM - 3 Jan 2017 · Nashville, TN

As for the ideas she did get for replacements, it was more of what the GOP doesn’t want:

Lisa Smirk Gonzales @lurkingsmirking

@MarshaBlackburn Keep it, or replace it with Single Payer.

Cancelling Americans' health insurance for spiteful reasons (Obama Derangement Syndrome) is not a good idea Goopers. You're playing with people's lives. There is obviously no plan in place to help men, women, children, babies who lose their insurance. Every single one of you Senators and Representatives will continue to enjoy personal and family coverage at American tax payer expense, yet you would ruin those same American tax payers' lives for purely ideological reasons?

What monsters you are!

And one of the first things I saw was the result of the "poll":
16% Yes
84% No

heh heh heh... It looks like the overwhelming majority do NOT want the ACA repealed. As if we didn't know that already.

There are many more tweets against repealing the ACA.

wouldnt it just be the sweetest thing if the only way out of this is to go single payer? a concept that the moron in chief can grasp. it could work for them. they could always defund it later.

egad. the equality that might break out. the lack of sadness. the safe feeling of being cared for.

my my my.

(i dont really remember all the brer tales, so i am not sure where the cat comes in, or if there was a briar there.)

I chose the name for a kitten I adopted shortly before I joined DU, and used that for my user name. Br'er Rabbit tricked Br'er Bear and Br'er Fox into throwing him in the briar patch as punishment, but of course, it was his natural habitat and he was quite happy to be there.

I doubt that we can trick Congress into passing single payer. The only way I see single payer being passed by a republican Congress is if the "single payer" is the tax payer footing his/her own bills. I do think they will over reach, as usual, and possibly have to scramble to come up with a quick fix before the voters revolt, but who knows what that fix will be.

And it's great. The doctor that I lost with private employer insurance several years ago is now my doctor again. So, it was employer insurance that took him from me. Medicare is still several years away for me, but I'm looking forward to it.

I don't tweet, either. I just have a Twitter account in a fictitious name so I can look at stuff like this.

Love the passion! Keep it up America!

Maybe we can have a recall election to dump this swine congressional class out. dRumpf included.

lies that eventually got screamed out in town halls vs public option and were portrayed as teabag popular opinion instead of the pack of dittoheads they were

all dems have to do is go on the offensive re talk radio - like complaining to 88 universities that keep trump gop talk radio going by broadcasting sports on them.
