Obamacare repeal GOP looks at making employer health benefits into taxable income

When you dig into the details of GOP legislative plans in the Congress to repeal the Obama health law and replace that system with something different, it doesn’t take long to find items deep in the fine print that could certainly ignite some controversy over how best to deal with health insurance coverage in the future.

For example, if you get health care coverage through your job – that is the most common coverage for American workers – should those employer provided health benefits be taxed by Uncle Sam?

Currently, the money that a business spends to provide an individual employee with health benefits is not treated as income for that worker – so your benefits are not taxed – but some Republican plans would change that in the future.

Enough to vote dem? I don't know about that. I'm sure Limbaugh & his ilk will spin it so even though the GOP is in control of government, it's still the dems fault. I have some in my family that hate liberals & democrats that much.

simply about where our collective tax dollars should be appropiated - and Republicans believe, truly believe, we working Americans exist simply to make the rich stay rich and/or become richer. Period. We are simply slaves on their giant plantation, and we exist so that they can continue to buy mansions, renovate their opulent bathrooms with gold-plated faucets, and get them another luxury jet.

In terms of domestic AND foreign policy, the GOP is about reallocating all our tax dollars to give to the wealthy. The GOP singular goal is to turn the United States into a giant plantation with working Americans as slaves (ever heard of the term 'wage slave'? Republicans believe it to the core).

In the mind of every single GOPer, if you're not well-connected, not born into the upper echelons of our society with a silverspoon up your behind, and you actually work for a living, you are a slave on their great plantation (the United States) and our sons and daughters are meat for their wars of profit and, for them, enriching resources.

Just look at all their disastrous policies...NONE of them has anything to do with "making America great". ALL are geared toward enriching corporations and millionaires/billionaires.

GOP on taxes: They want to cut taxes SOLELY for the wealthy - not working Americans. In fact. Lyin'Ryan wants to create new taxes for those making $10k a year or less (and who don't pay Federal taxes that they can reallocate to their already obscenely rich friends) while giving corporations and wealthy people the right to live in a tax-free country. After all, they're our 'royalty', right? They are entitled to our hard-earned dollars.

GOP on killing PP: It's got nada to do with a woman's (non)right to choose or being anti-abortion. It's about the hundreds of millions of Federal dollars that goes to PP in order to help women who have nowhere else to turn for their health care. They don't believe a single dime of our tax dollars should benefit anyone except their 'royalty'.

GOP on repealing the PPACA: It's got nothing to do with helping bring down health care costs and health care premiums, or "keeping gov't out of our health care". It's about the billions of dollars a year that go to the PPACA and not into the pockets of the already uber-wealthy where, the GOP believe, our money rightfully belongs.

GOP on Public Education: It's got nothing to do with teacher's unions, or teachers' tenures, or anything like that. It's all about killing the billion dollar plus annual funding for public education and redirect those billions into the pockets of the wealthy where they feel our tax dollars belong.

GOP on privatizing Social Security: Redirect our social security taxes (trillions) to enrich their buddies on Wall Street and at hedge fund managing companies. They damn well know that if the market crashes (like in 2008), their buddies won't feel it, but WE WILL. So who are they looking out for?

GOP on voucherizing Medicare: More redirecting of (trillions of) tax dollars to benefit their rich buddies while short-changing those who are paying for the program.

See the picture? It's all about reallocating OUR tax dollars to only benefit the entitled privilege in this country. We need to see this in black and white and keep it simple, because it's really that simple despite all the confusing 'reasons' Republicans v Democrats are selling us.

The GOP is the Party of the wealthy and well-connected. That's why their policies are so detrimental to working Americans - working Americans are NOT their interest beyond using us as tax dollar heifers to milk until the day we die.
