Need help with an online argument.

The argument is this: "The FBI had evidence of Russian hacking as far back as 2014. The Democrats only made it an issue at the very end of the 2016 election, and afterwards. If they're so upset about it, why didn't they bring it up before?"

I replied by going back to mid '15 when the White House had evidence, but McConnell threatened to spin it as partisan bitching if Obama went forward with it. I wouldn't have made the choice Obama did back then, but that's what happened.

Any help available? Thanks.

1. Didn't the mid-'15 incident happen in '16, a coupe of months before the election?

Comey, McConnell, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama were there, among others.

Have to say they're all to blame, especially the Dems.

We have to learn to stop yielding to the repug bullies.

Your friend is attempting to frame the debate by blaming the victim.
