President-elect Donald Trump's team decided not to call upon the services of the inauguration announcer who has worked every parade for the past 60 years, according to a local Washington station.

Trump is choosing not to use Charles Brotman, 89, to announce his inaugural parade — breaking with decades of tradition that began with Brotman's first inaugural gig for Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957.

Brotman told ABC News’ D.C. affiliate he was “heartbroken” to learn he wouldn't be announcing what would have been his 12th inaugural parade.

“I’ve been doing this for 60 years,” Brotman told WJLA.

“I was destroyed,” he added.

10. I know who he SHOULD get

I don't think they make these commercials anymore, but in the 1970s every time there was a product recalled for safety reasons, they always made a public service announcement and played it on all three stations. The same woman did the voiceover on all of them, and she had this tonality to her voice that would scare the living shit out of you if you didn't get rid of the thing they were recalling, right away. They should find out who she was, and have her announce Trump's inaugural parade - in the same tone of voice she used to tell you to get rid of your toaster before it electrocuted your cat.

He also retweeted pro-Trump memes, such as one with an image showing a crowd surrounded by fire purporting to depict violent anti-Trump protesters accompanied by the words, “Claim Trump is going to destroy America as they go out and destroy America.”

The picture was in fact not of anti-Trump protesters, but was taken at a protest in Greece in 2012.
