But remind me again about why need to constantly listen to and shape our political strategies around people whom shoot up Pizza joints based on insane conspiracy theories ("bad intel&quot about the DNC/Clintons?

there are limits to my understanding.

All the talk about "reaching out" without challenging people on their nonsense is excusing BS. There are crazy ass Americans out there who consume Alex Jones like the gospel truth, and believe the craziest shit imaginable. Coddling them is not the solution. Show them the error of their ways and if they still can't get a clue, they are a lost cause.

I frequently let him have it. He's very quiet these days too, maybe he's starting to see it for himself.

He's proof that people can be willfully ignorant. Trump supporters aren't babies or children, they're grown adults who can vote. Why all the delicateness?

You may find this useful since you have to deal with Trumpians on FB. It covers the coastal elite BS, in this case "Trump won because Meryl is a coastal elite and she criticized him"

It also reminds me of a Tumblr post I read once about why we shouldn't worry about oppressed groups "alienating allies" by not being "nice enough".

. . .Detroit, Denver, or Dallas aren't giant urban centers. Gee, only about 30 million people live in those 5 metro centers, but they're so much more "country" than the coastal elites!

What a moron!

There was an interview with some heavily-tanned, heavily-bejeweled Madame something-something-Rothschild in Orange County, California. She voiced her support for the Tea Party because finally us little people were standing up against that meanie Obama.

Yes. A literal billionaire and literal aristocrat styled herself as being one of the little people fighting against those in power.
