Updated at 7:04 p.m. ET: BELLEFONTE, Pa. Jerry Sandusky's attorney said Friday that he expects his client to be convicted on some of the 48 child sexual abuse counts against him.
"I would die of a heart attack shocked if he was acquitted on all of the charges," Joseph Amendola, the head of Sandusky's defense team, told reporters in Centre County Court.
"It is just statistically unlikely," he said.

Amendola spoke to reporters for a few minutes inside the courthouse before a court official cut him off. Judge John Cleland has issued a gag order prohibiting participants from making public statements "regarding the Defendant's guilt or innocence".

(28,394 posts)The local news said they worked from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. yesterday (not sure if that is correct) and they wanted clarifications on "hearsay'" testimony (from the janitor). They seem to be very diligent as far as anyone can tell.

But good news nonetheless.

(24,411 posts)...then we will have to find an alternative name for our justice system. We will no longer have justice in the system if that child rapist does nothing less than life.
He gave numerous children life sentences. He needs to, at the very least, experience the same. He is a danger and needs to be put away forever.

(50,354 posts)and it was that summons that cut the interview short.
Not smart, Mr. Amendola, not smart at all.
"Amendola's 15-minute interview ended with him being summoned into the chambers of Judge John Cleland, who presided over the two-week trial. Cleland has issued a gag order barring lawyers from discussing the case."
