Dairy Queen shows what a responsible business is really like.

A DQ franchise holder in Zion, IL went off on a racial tirade against an African-American mother and her two young children. Two days later, DQ terminated his franchise license and closed his store. WTG DQ!

(Note, the woman involved is meeting with other customers and employees who say that they had been victims the the owner's racist rants to see if there is a pattern that DQ should have been aware of.)

A Dairy Queen owner unleashed a racist tirade against a customer. He no longer has a business.

The Dairy Queen owner shouting the n-word at Deianeira Ford told her he could say whatever he wanted at his fast-food restaurant — that any accusations and complaints she uttered would fall on deaf ears.

Ford was vindicated two days later, when her Facebook post about the incident provoked outrage so strong that the Dairy Queen in Zion, Ill., didn’t open for business.

that someone is being forced to deal with the consequences of his own bigotry. he deserves it.

a failing economy, forced to rely on dwindling tourism to support itself.
nearby town of waukegan is heavily black and poor. relations between the towns are bad. this is not the first incident there.

glad dq put this sucker out of business. hopefully not the last asshole who thinks he has been given a license to be a subhuman to lose everything.

I walked out of a sit-down restaurant in Zion in the late 90s after watching the hostess seat three white parties while a black family of four waited for a table. My pre-teen kids were oblivious to the whole thing until I told the hostess she should be ashamed of herself on our way out.
