I got yet another 'grow up and make up with trump* voters' messages, so I let loose a tirade

It was from someone that I am 99.9% confident DIDN'T vote for him and the message was contained in a cutesy little cartoon. So I decided to make my feelings, one last time. Ok, and it was cathartic, for me, because I'm sick to death of these stupid 'memes'. And this was restrained, next to what I felt:

I’m going to say this one last time. I have no intention of ‘shaking hands and making up’ with “friends” who voted for trump*. And the reason is that none of my actual friends voted for him. How do I know this? Because the people I call friends are people that I know I can trust, and that is no frivolous matter, to me.

My friends and I have each other’s back and even though we may have different interests, we share similar social and economic values. We believe in being responsible, tax paying citizens who treasure the words inscribed on the base of the Statue of Liberty and are thankful for them since most of our families are here because of what they represent. We believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Anyone who found it acceptable to vote for such a glaringly unqualified, hypocritical, unpatriotic, intellectually and morally deficient, bigoted, narcissistic misanthropic draft and tax evading candidate as trump* pretty much negated all of the above. So, anyone who can cast such an egregious vote against the best interest of the country is someone I know I can’t trust. You are either willfully ignorant, delusional, or believe what I listed above are acceptable characteristics for a POTUS.

At best I can try to be a civil, very leery acquaintance to trump* voters. And just as I did with bush* voters, I will hold them accountable for every disaster that his administration will create. Yes, the blood will be on their hands, too. The blood of people who lose their healthcare and the social security accounts they have paid into, for decades, and counted on to help with food, medicine and shelter during their later years. The blood of people who are already being attacked for being LGBTQ, of another race or culture, or just plain perceived to be “foreign”. The blood of any member of the military who is injured or loses their life, because trump* has gotten us into yet another ‘war for profit’ or armed conflict started via one of his childish, irresponsible tweets or temper tantrums.

So, to any ‘undercover trumpsters’, still hanging around my world, I trust I've made my feelings crystal clear. I'd ask you for a rational explanation for your vote, but let's be honest - there isn't one. From this point on, be forewarned. My pithy outrage will only grow sharper, stronger and louder. And may your consequences be equal to your responsibility.

I go to Google Images and run a search on "tea party rally."

I then pick out the choicest photos of Obama Haters venting their rage through idiotic teabag headgear and hateful, misspelled signs, beginning just months after President Obama's inauguration.

I show these rally pix to the Trumplodyte in question and ask, "You mean like you guys did after our guy got elected?"

Look, it is not like I cannot call for some old fashioned "what the hell happened here?", but please do not try to disguise the old "we gotta make those independent "reagan Democrats" happy canard that we have been being fed since 1980 with the result that even when we get people in Washington, we get old we have to keep our heads down and our mouths shut. Bravo!

Please say to them, "Stop telling me to grow up! It is your candidate who said that if he didn't win, that meant the election was rigged! And, you can bet had he lost, he would not have let that sentiment go! Not only him, but his whole base would have been up in arms claiming the election had been rigged!" And also say to them, "When McConnell on Day 1 of Trump's either Presidency or win, said he will obstruct everything Obama wants, did you feel that was acting like a grown up? Did it make you upset or angry that McConnell said that? If not, then don't tell me I need to grow up! Or, when the Republican Congress continually obstructed Obama through his entire 8 years, did you feel that was acting like a grown up??"

It has indeed affected my opinion of some people I know - and not in a positive way. I can't dismiss, ignore, or in any way get around how they voted, and what that tells me about how they feel about the issues. It's a "tell." What we learned in Catholic school as "an outward sign."

The best answer I have it to flat out ignore these people. I can't be wasting my time trying to teach pigs to sing. The pigs never sing they just get mad.

There is some value to making them mad.

go ahead and stack up the fact that many in the heartland, especially those three stupid states: Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania felt all that genuine pain from all those economic changes. Add in the fact that yes I do wish that the states were not counted as a blue wall of safety as they obviously were not. Stack all that up, until you build something that makes the Great Wall of China look like a joke. The ugly fact is people knew who Trump was. This was no Jeb Bush, or Scott Walker, or John Kasich that was not used to a national spotlight, who did not have tons of books already written about him, who did not actually make a living on television just by proving what an arrogant vicious creep he was. I could go into the deepest hinterland of the heartland, somewhere where a convenience store was the main place to get groceries, and say "you're fired!", and people would immediately know who I was talking about.

If someone commits suicide because they are depressed and in pain, that is not considered noble, normal, desirable. Voting for Trump was a suicidal act, because this guy had already talked about throwing around nukes in his campaign. Suicide is usually done because the person who does it is trying to kill off the person that they would otherwise become. To be more specific, it is because in order to become that person they would have to give up their ego. There is nothing in the Trump campaign that is anything but frustrated ego. Yes clothe that ego in a bunch of blue jeans made in China, to the music of a bunch of modern country artist who are not worthy to carry Willie Nelson's guitar strings, whose Who sounded is about as authentic a sign of middle American culture as some supermarket generic instant grits is of Southern cuisine. Go ahead do all of that, but you know you voted not only for someone who spat on your Christian values, who profited from the celebrity culture you hate so much, and who was literally born in the world of New York finance as shown by the the people he has picked for the nation's cabinet, laced with more Goldman Sachs executives and downsizing robber barons.

You know that you have nothing to offer for an explanation than spite. Just like the person you love so much you threw a temper tantrum because you felt you have to be listen to above all else. Well let me tell you Washington, Moscow, and Beijing are back to go ahead and tell little Donald that they are not going to change his diapers, and they can care less about his tweets. If, no not if when all this turns on you, know this, if I extend a hand to help you you will only be for my own self-interest and not 1/2 inch more, because frankly you owe me and my country for stabbing them in the back. If anything remains in America after this is done, it will not be because of all you good folk in the churches and the diners and the right wing chat rooms, where you wallow in filth and mud like cattle. It will be because of people like us realize that whatever civilization is left will have to be built over wreckage you made.

Pray that we don't get a chance to bury you alive, if we don't decide to do that it will not be because of compassion, but simply because we have too much self-respect to want to imitate you.
