by David Bixenspan | 12:47 pm, January 11th, 2017
President Elect Donald Trump put the news media on notice at his press conference in New York on Wednesday with a comment about BuzzFeed, which posted an unverified dossier about his alleged entanglements with Russia on Tuesday night. When asked what he meant when he asked Are we living in Nazi Germany? in a tweet a few hours earlier, he gave a vague answer before making an ominous statement about the consequences that BuzzFeed will face over the report.
As far as BuzzFeed, which is a failing pile of garbage writing [the article about the dossier] think theyre going to suffer the consequences, he said. They already are. As far as CNN going out of their way to build it up, and, by the way, we just found out it was coming down. He then outlined how its being widely disputed that his lawyer, Michael Cohen, is the Michael Cohen who was in Prague for an alleged meeting mentioned in the dossier, before adding that its a disgrace, and I think they ought to apologize, to start with, [to] Michael Cohen.
Media Twitter was concerned by the consequences line, to say the least, with this tweet from Igor Volsky of CAP Action being widely retweeted:

A president saying news organization is "going to suffer the consequences" for printing something he doesn't like is FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE

(53,093 posts)Even absent all the dirt on Trump and the Russian connections, those remarks show how temperamentally unfit he is for the presidency.

(6,979 posts)MOST in the media are already cowering in the corner as it is and giving him pass after pass, so I guess since the press will have little access to him, they'll have to go back to talking about Hillary's emails or about the CGI, or about how "dishonest" Hillary IS, or giving "advice" on how Democrats should kiss the ass of the white middle-class and while they're at it, get thicker knee pads as they continue "servicing" him. Doubt if much talk about his puppet putin tang will be allowed
The only positive I see during this tRumputin disaster is that I don't see him lasting 4 years let alone 8 in the White House. He's mentally melting down day by day, and we won't be seeing many pressers from this jack ass--mostly tweets from him hold up in tRumputin tower. I mean look at how truly bizarre THIS presser was, so yeah. We won't be hearing many live pressers from him at all. I can see him using video tape to talk to all of us "peasants" and saving his "live" knee pad performances" for his blackmailing boy toy putin tang.
