If the "Press" doesn't "grow" the figurative pair we are screwed here in America. tRump is

going to run this country like a pimp in an 80's gangster movie. The press has abdicated its responsibility to the country for the lure of cash and entertainment, now we have the consequence. tRump. Once upon a time, in the day of journalistic exceptionalism, the idea that a politician would scam an entire country was ended with McCarthyism and Nixon's lies exposuredfor what they were. Now we have the press cooperating with a new demagogue, in hopes he will toss them a few cash crumbs as he destroys any semblance of national selflessness.

It appears tRump sees America as a cash cow meant for his personal aggrandizement and benefit. The press is not going to do its job because they are as invested in him as much as anyone. They fear him and cower at his tirades like children before an abusive parent. If the press doesn't grow that "pair" they will be washed away with tide of extremist trumpism hate and revenge politics that is coming.

by Trump or are making a naked play for ratings over the next 4 years. I saw two sad things regarding the media at the press conference yesterday. 1) Each reporter asked Trump multiple questions at a time like they do with all president's. In Trump's case, it merely allows him to avoid answering the ones he doesn't want to answer. 2) These reporters watched a CNN reporter be savaged by Trump and looked the other way. Resistance to Trump will have to come from the people.

5. The corporate press is doing what all us wage slaves

are forced to do in our current Gilded Age 2.0; genuflect to their superiors and remain blind obedient workers just smart enough to do the paperwork and run the machines. News readers got bosses just like the rest of us. Our MSM is 90% Corporation and their obligation is to their shareholders, profit is the only purpose for their news organizations. Their constitutional obligation to inform the populus is obsolete and quaint.

And we are now so corrupt all our institutions are failing us. Our free press hates all of us and wants us to be peasants and serfs in a life of toil and economic servitude. In return for seven figure salaries and access to the President-elect.

but, can't we use something besides "balls" to denote toughness?

"Grow a spine", "show some guts" or "grow a backbone" are all equivalent phrases that are not exclusively male.
