Trump thinks being president is a part-time job

Trump said this yesterday: “I could actually run my business and run government at the same time. I don't like the way that looks,” Trump said. “But I would be able to do that if I wanted to.”

Apparently he thinks the job of president is only a part time job and he will have all sorts of free time to go out and make deals, great deals, terrific deals.

He is clueless. He is absolutely unaware of the magnitude of the job he is about to take. He is playing the press for fools.

Why is this happening???

Are we going to just sit still and let it happen?

most presidents work their ass off because they feel the pressure to do everything they can for as many people as they can in the time they have in office.

donnie is primarily interested in donnie, so of course he'd love to spend plenty of time milking the office for personal profit, and i'm sure he's pissed that they're not letting him just do that in the obvious way. sheesh! making him go through his kids for his skim!

since he alluded to that before he was elected and it didn't seem to ring any alarm bells. At the slightest hint that he thought he was Superman and could wear both hats (or in his case both crowns) he should have been pressed on his perceptions of what he thought the job of President entailed. Of course, with tRump, no one seems to press him on ANYTHING. He is used to people bowing and scraping to "his excellency......"

I would be curious how much of the day to day operations he actually does at tRumpco.....and how much Ivanka, Uday and Qusay do. I suspect he signs a lot of documents that he never reads.

We need to keep pushing the truth: that he's a minority president, elected by a combination of an archaic clause in the Constitution and an early 20th century law fixing the size of the House of Representatives so that the votes of some states carry more weight than others.

We need to keep reminding McConnell, Ryan, and the press that Trump does NOT have a mandate.

His job is not to wield power but to act as a distraction for those who are really in charge.
