The world. That last part made me sick.

If you've seen video, they think it's fine to slander, harrass and threaten anyone who goes against them. Because tin cans said/ they paid to be told they are better than us.

At best she's also a bootstrapper asshole who is being blackmailed too. And fine w exploitation of the week and plots to deceive ....if it's by the Scientologists.

I've been watching Leah Remini's excellent show, "Scientology and the Aftermath," on A&E. My thoughts were exactly along the lines of yours.

Didn't LRH hate the media as much as Trump does? "Chaos merchants," I think he called them.

ETA: This is interesting. It's from last April, but...
"Donald J. Trump Is the L. Ron Hubbard of Politics"
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/04/03/donald-trump-is-the-l-ron-hubbard-of-politics.html

And this is even more interesting:

"What would Scientology gain from a Trump presidency? Plenty.

Trump enthusiastically supports limiting freedom of the press and altering libel laws. Nothing would please the Church of Scientology more. The mainstream media’s allegations of Scientology’s checkered history, abusive practices, and unrelenting demands from its adherents is well chronicled. Expanding paths to litigation would take some of the heat off the church and bolster its treasury.

Trump, an unabashed admirer of Vladimir Putin’s authoritarianism, has let it be known how he will facilitate the Russian’s goals: terming NATO “obsolete” and cutting back the U.S. commitment; encouraging the Russian hacking of U.S. Government agencies, endorsing Russia’s annexation of Crimea, and threatening to pull the plug on the U.S. alliance with Japan who is in the midst of a territorial dispute with Russia over the Kuril Islands.

Putin’s payback would not compromise any of his aggressive foreign policy goals. Russia has been tough on Scientology, not recognizing it as a religion. The Russian president could lift Moscow’s ban on The Church of Scientology and rein in Russian law enforcement authorities who have been conducting raids on Scientology centering on money laundering. Russia’s 143 million citizens, especially its growing number of “celebrity” Trumpian oligarchs, represent a fertile recruitment base.

There’s no doubt if Trump is elected president, the Church of Scientology will have its man in the White House."

I thought I could avoid GvS by turning on something else during her allotted hour - but there she was, sharing her expert commentary on another show.

Maybe I should switch to CNN now that they're on Frump's hate list. (But don't make me give up Lawrence!)

Rwers shamelessly say whatever the fuck they "feel" or deliver carefully prepared lines engineered to make the sheep "feel" the way the RW wants them to feel. And there are far too many Americans who are easily bamboozled by the most obvious trickery.

They are completely defenseless against the sophisticated deviousness of the RW propaganda machine. Not just because many of them are incapable of reason, but also because the RW is selling them what they want to believe.

Not that I need to tell you, but still had to say it.

soul several years ago to work at Faux Noise, I pay no attention whatsoever to anything she has to say.

Her departure from Faux has not improved anything about her and NBC lost credibility with me for hiring her. Her belief in Scientology - a truly first class science fiction religion - really puts the nail in her coffin. IMHO.

Oh, and her father was a longtime friend of Senator Joseph McCarthy of the HUAC days, who was best man at her parent's wedding. Greta would have been too young to remember much about that loathsome POS, but the taint likely has remained in the family.

Only watch Joy Reid on weekends or when she is filling in for someone else. May tune in to Rachael but while I like her POV, she tries so hard to sell it, like "aren't I a very smart person", so can only take so much of her. By the time Lawrence comes on, there's no breaking news, everything's been hashed out, and it's just a regurgitation of what has already been discussed 100 times.

Took a look at Greta, but she's just FOX light and frankly she is annoying to listen to. This was a big mistake by NBC. Plus,(and I hope I don't offend anyone here,) for an educated person like GS to believe in the science fiction of Scientology, well I just can't give much credence to anything else they stand for.
