"a source close to the (Youre) Having My Baby crooner,PAUL ANKA, 75, (said) that he will buck the trend of most singers and perform his song My Way at the Inauguration January 20. . .with lyrics re-written for the incoming Commander-In-Chief!
Paul was asked by the members of the Trump inauguration committee and he was only too happy to do it for his longtime friend, said an Anka insider.
I guess Fabian wasn't available -

(19,564 posts)2. I have no idea who that is.
Edit: I looked him up and it says he was popular in the 50's/60's, which predates my birth. No wonder I didn't know who he was. He was far enough before my time that even any carryover fame had evaporated by the time I was of age.

His smooth, polished treacle music was just too cloying and annoying for me. There are a couple of Paul Anka songs I'll grudgingly admit to liking, but for the most part he's *sticks finger down throat and makes hacking noise*

Shitbag's inauguration will be a veritable " Who's That?" of popular entertainment.

would be Barry McGuire singing the 1965 hit "Eve of Destruction". The song just proves nothing has changed in 50 + years.

(3,427 posts)9. At least Paul Anka doesn't have to worry about this destroying his career
since his career peaked about a half century ago.
