Whoa.

Came across this response while reading an article on Facebook. I replied and asked for attributions, nothing yet. Is anyone familiar with any records of the inter-relationships noted?

Before he became FBI director, James Comey was senior vice president at Lockheed Martin, the world's largest defense contractor. Lockheed Martin gets their rocket engines from Russia and they have a multi-billion dollar partnership with ExxonMobil. ExxonMobil is partnered with Rosneft, Russia’s state-owned oil producer to drill in the Arctic. (New drilling opportunities made possible by glacial melting due to global warming!) The Obama/Clinton sanctions got in the way of their profits. Democracy got in the way of their profits.

In August 2005, Comey left the DOJ and became General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2010, he became General Counsel at Bridgewater Associates, based in Westport, Connecticut. In early 2013, he left Bridgewater to become a Senior Research Scholar and a Hertog Fellow on National Security Law at Columbia Law School in the city of New York. He served on the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings until July 2013.[2]

Rec'd just because the eyes that see this, the more we could learn.

As a currently incarcerated former Governor was once heard saying. "This is f'ing GOLDEN!"

I think there might be a very different kind of party going on next week than almost everybody else expects... I have a feeling about it and have been sensing it building up for weeks. I will not watch the events live but I will be reviewing everything I can thereafter.

23. That HSBC connection might be more valid.

(Disclosure: have worked for major defense contractors, including an LM subsidiary and a GE subsidiary)

The rocket engines fall under import/export controls; if LM is buying them, then the DoD knows about it, and given that LM has a major share of launch services for satellites, I'm not surprised. Russian engines are still around the tech level of a Saturn, but they do the job and get what needs to go up into orbit, and probably for a lower dollar cost than building them here. For an essentially disposable product that comes with heavy environmental and personnel costs, I'm not surprised that LM outsources that. (Not being surprised does not mean approval.)

But HSBC -- Comey was there, on the Board, during the timeframe when the SwissLeaks investigation was ongoing. Comey was only there for about 7 months (appointed at end of January, 2013; would have had to leave the BOD by September, 2013 when he became FBI chief) and was immediately after HSBC got into massive trouble for money laundering and import/export control failures. Why hire someone for such a short period of time? It's not like nobody foresaw Mueller stepping down; he was already 16 months into a 2 year extension to his 10 year term. And everyone knew Comey was shortlisted to replace Mueller. Boards of Directors like long-term continuity, not short-termers. So they expected Comey to stay... and then he didn't.

There is something... strange here. I just don't know what.

I think it's quite believable that Comey is allied with a cadre of far right FBI people who hate HRC. Maybe he's still mad about her and Obama not being more aggressive with Apple over encryption. Comey also has a history with Ken Starr and endless Clinton investigations in the 90s.

But mega corps are always in bed with each other. I doubt Comey's actions have much to do with LMT or Exxon.

Comey is already in the tank for Russia and Trump, seeking to swing the election against the Democratic nominee. I guess the next director could be worse, but the original head scratcher plus no accountability for actions this aggregiously biased is not a good result.

I've been wondering about Comey. It started in June when there was nothing to prosecute in Madam Clinton's emails. Then the letter to further the investigate the emails, then no problem. This thread closes the loop for me. The Director needs to go and his name erased from the books.
I want to thank Rachel for a report on Russia and Exxon-Mobile earlier this week. Now the past relationships of Comey have influenced his actions.
