The IG investigation is a threat to some Republicans.

I would be surprised if they do not try to get rid of him after January 20th.

It's fairly obvious that FBI's Comey was working closely with Chaffetz and Gowdy and the House Committee investigating Hillary Clinton. He promised them he would get back to them if he found more information, after the July hearing. As we now know, he found Wiener's emails 11 days before the election and Comey gave the information to Chaffetz and Gowdy.

Also, it is reported that there were some "Hillary haters" within the FBI that had Comey's ear and a lot of influence in keeping the heat on Hillary Clinton, even as they sat on revelations about Donald Trump and his Russian connections.

Rudy Guiliani bragged about his connections at the FBI. He was the point man for Donald Trump's transition team at the time. He was cracking the whip to keep them stirred up and on the trail of Hillary.

There are several Republicans that are vulnerable if the IG continues his investigation. It will be a surprise if they permit him to continue his job.

...IIRC she's been there, done that. Bush's Sec of Labor. And quite honestly, absent her poor choice in husbands (very very poor choice) and the degree to which it has influenced her politics and view of America - this is a woman who has accomplished a lot.

That said, I think turtle would throw her under the bus in a new york minute if it advanced his personal perverted agenda for the country. He didn't sell out to get something for her. He sold out to continue his Palpatine-like consolidation of power.

IMHO, of course.

FBI IG Horowitz gone @ 12:02pm 1/20/17.

This'll make the Saturday Night Massacre look like a picnic and they won't stop 'til they find their Bork.

For those of us who remember it, I say "...and we thought Watergate was bad".

I think enough of the leaders of the party will be found to be complicit with Trump and his staff that they may have to resign . . .
