Did she have the surgery? I know the courts said yes but would that still be allowed after she's out? Not sure where the surgery comes in.

...Manning remains a convicted felon; the commutation means the remainder of her sentence is eliminated.

Chelsea Manning will remain a felon, as she should. But nothing would be gained by having her sit in prison for 35 years. I think it is always an injustice when the length of a sentence is given for purpose of making an example of someone.

I wish her well and hope she can get on with her life.
