But what, exactly, are we to infer from the fact that Republicans, who famously despise voter fraud so much that they're willing to see it where none exists, can't be bothered to give two shits about the possibility of Russia hacking the election?

I can think of a few off the top of my head:

1. They only care about "voter fraud" when it might in principle benefit Democrats
2. They know about the Russian hacking and know that it benefits Republicans
3. They know about the Russian hacking but are compromised by information that Russia has about them
4. They don't give a shit about "voter fraud" and use it as a dogwhistle issue for their base
5. They're simply racist, and they fear non-white voices

1. Republicans are notoriously self-obsessed. If they believe they are harmed in any way, it's a big

deal. If anyone else is harmed, they don't give a rat's ass. They are currently in orgasmic money mode. They've got a cash-obsessed leader who is going to turn a blind eye as they profiteer in whatever way they can. As long as they're feathering their own nests, they don't care if Russia is involved or not. And they sure as hell don't care what Democrats have to say about it.
