Yes, I know about not staying in this place, about fighting, about counting, about all that - but right now I'm just flat-out terrified.

(53,061 posts)within a week of the election my wife was on a plane to research permanent alternatives there. Should take us about a year.

(14,929 posts)last night, and the guest speaker was a survivor of the Rwandan genocide and civil war. It put things here in a little more perspective. I still feel depressed about what our country us about to go through, though. Deplorable situation on so many levels.
