My daughter was at the inauguration and was reduced to tears.

She and three others were there from her company, who flew them in to film the march tomorrow. They were offered free inauguration tickets, and thought, what the heck?

She called me hysterically crying, said she was surrounded by the worst of humanity. They were booing Barack Obama, and shouting "Lock her up!" as Hillary arrived. She realized that she needed to exit the crowd, and with tears streaming down her face she encountered a woman who shoved her out of the way and screamed "Not today! This is our day!"

I told her that tomorrow will be her day, and that this is their last hurrah.

Damn them all to the Hell they crawled out of.

2. My youngest daughter who is completely unpolitical and didn't even vote this year

texted me: "Michelle Obama for President".

I was stunned.

My oldest daughter works for one of Obama's Cabinet members family business and said it was like a funeral at work today.

There is going to be a lot of remorse.

Buyers remorse
Sellers remorse
On the sidelines remorse.

Just a lot of "what just happened" reaction.

My Hispanic neighbor and I have been exchanging comforting words and every time he ends up with "When is somebody going to do something to fix this?" I don't think he realizes that it is set in stone for 4 years.

Oh and welcome to DU Ballard. From Spokane, go Zags.

Every attempt to minimize the horror of the current pResident's effect on our nation must be called out as the unmitigated BS it is.

I'm hopeful that the Trumpster's feel the sting of their selection of this psychopath and it comes back to bite them, which when does any psychopath/narcissist bring good things to anybody? Never! They only care about their own ego and desires and are toxic to everyone else, so it's probably just a matter of time before they get their comeuppance. I also hope tRump is impeached quickly and booted out of office because he's an extreme danger to the planet, and that the GOP, in their obvious hubris and zeal, overreaches, and the pendulum swings back mightily.

(Btw, I'm up here in Bellingham, WA.)

first, that the tRumpsters will EVER concede that they made a mistake...

second, any attack on tRump will be perceived as a liberal conspiracy and will likely be met with violence

and finally, if tRump is impeached, I'm pretty sure there will be mass violence

tRump reinforces the beliefs of these people...repudiation of him is repudiation of their very identify.

That' why I'm scare senseless ...this may well be exactly what America has become.

Or, a scandal leaks that is just too big for even Trumpsters to sweep away. I think some of his supporters weren't all that keen about him and only voted for economic reasons (hoping he'd bring back manufacturing jobs). If Trump fails to deliver great jobs, the economy slumps, the GOP doesn't deliver something awesome for health care and axe Social Security, Medicare, etc., things will change. The pendulum will start swinging...

them. It's very hard trying to endure this event, but someday we'll look back on this and laugh. They'll be showing up with their "Keep Government Hands Off My Medicare" signs and the cycle will start all over again.

These people were only their to STILL express their hatred for the opposition. It's SICK!! What miserable, twisted human beings.

I am so sorry for what happened to your daughter. It must have been awful for her.
