But, we have to face things. Pence would put women's rights back 100 years, guaranteed. We would still be alive, however. Pick your poison.

You never know, it seemed to be a safe bet that her successor would be nominated by Hillary.

I'm sure she will do everything she can to hold on for at least 4 more years.

You can never count on anything in politics, except that repukes will pick someone vastly worse than any possible Dem pick.

I'm really not happy with that kind of hubris.

We all know that even if he had nominated someone as liberal—which wasn't really his tendency—that candidate would've had a great deal of trouble getting past Senate Republicans. I think she knew that too.

nominees. There is no reason the court needs 9 justices. It worked just fine with 6 in the past. Dems MUST stand together and block any nominee just like the CONS would have done if Hillary had won and what they did to Obama.

Thomas is 68. It's unlikely that he's anywhere close to retirement either.

Anthony Kennedy (80), OTOH, will probably retire pretty soon. He may wait two years on the assumption that Republicans will pick up seats in the Senate... depending on how this current nomination battle goes.

There's almost zero chance that she'll retire with Trump as president and a Republican Senate majority.

Assuming she survives... she stays (IMO). Same for Breyer.
