New York march

Just got back from the march. It was gridlock people. My group was supposed to start marching at 12:30. We got to our location and then proceeded to stand there with tens of thousands of other people for over half and hour.
Seems as though the earlier marchers had already covered the route and there was no place more to go. We decided to head up third avenue and when we got there found a rogue march - power to the people! 
The avenue had not been blocked off so we made an act of civil disobedience and took back the street! Then marched up to 57th and over to Fifth Ave. They had blocked off two blocks in front of Trump Tower with barricades so we could not stop in front and had to move down to 55th. Finally found where all the cops that should have been on Second Ave were located - enormous police presence right at 57th.
One thing that really burns my butt is that there were no news helicopters at the beginning of the march. I did not see one until we go to a block away from TT. Will wait for the evening news to see if they report on how many people were actually there. I am sure it was way over 100,000. We left around 2:45 and there were marchers still scheduled to start up until 5.
