The Resistance is now more entertaining than Trump.
I am already so bored with Trump's random tweets and wandering speeches. They are not a novelty anymore and there is only so much outrage you can feel. Nothing he says makes actual sense so I am starting to just tune it out.
Madonna telling him to go suck a bag of dicks, or whatever she said.... that is entertaining! Sadly, most of America only wants to be entertained. They seem unwilling to engage in political discussions with any level of seriousness. And we are post-fact. So I guess whoever can entertain the most wins. We are now the most entertaining.
And the Dem base is HIGHLY engaged, unlike what happened in 2000 where we all sat around (well most), befuddled by what occurred. I feel like we have been collectively date raped, but instead of even PRETENDING it was consensual, GOP dumped us on the side of the road with our underwear in our purses and no money for a taxi home. What did they THINK was going to happen? We are fucking ANGRY and looking for any way we can to make them pay.
Media whores just want ratings, so an engaged liberal base + boredom with Trump's inanities + entertaining resistance activities will begin to move the needle. Might now change anything short term, but we can whomp them good in mid-terms.
