"Officials now estimate between 90,000 and 100,000 people up to five times the expected number joined ranks to form a blocks-long protest from Cathedral Hill to the State Capitol on Saturday morning for the Womens March Minnesota.
The event, which was the largest in St. Paul since the 2008 Republican National Convention, was one of hundreds held around the world Saturday, as people rallied to protest the inauguration of President Donald Trump and express support for a variety of concerns, including womens rights, protections for minorities, education, the environment and healthcare.
Early police estimates pegged the number at 60,000 still far beyond the expected 20,000 but by Saturday evening, a police spokesman said he agreed with organizerss estimate of between 90,000 and 100,000."

(3,256 posts)From my own experience at the Capitol I would say it's about right. Great crowd, and all age groups. Well done.
