This is Psychological Warfare: Trumps Laugh Track is Tricking America

"But the press was clapping and laughing, they loved it.” — a commenter defending Trump’s first press conference.

“But there were people in the audience clearly laughing at his jokes and clapping, so therefore what he was saying couldn’t have been inappropriate.” — CNN pundit defending Trump’s CIA speech where he talked about his war with the media, in front of a memorial to men and women who lost their lives in actual wars.

The clapping and laughing you hear in both instances are Trump’s own people. They are sycophants who he brings to cheer him on and make it seem like what he’s saying is being well-received. And it’s working.

It happened to me during that press conference and during that CIA speech. What he was saying wasn’t as surprising as the fact that the response wasn’t dead silence or audible fucking gasps.

-----------------------------Has anyone seen other articles about this? I was dumbfounded by all the clapping and laughter during Trump's Langley speech. It just didn't ring true to me.

There it is. Trump brought his people to cheer for him and create illusion of CIA support on television.

5. Update to Newsweek article says cheering & clapping at CIA was manufactured.

But Trump’s seemingly warm reception might have been manufactured, according to The Washington Post’s lead fact-checker, Glenn Kessler. “The pool reports indicate the cheering and clapping was not from the CIA staffers but people who accompanied Trump,” Kessler tweeted.

number of tickets to CIA employees for Trump's visit. I suspect those who entered the lottery were Trump fans.
Between this lottery and reports of him bringing a pep-squad, there were some happy to be there.

8. Just like all of his other "press conferences" to come

Same reason he is moving the press room in the White House, to fit his cheerleaders. Between orange fuhrer, kitty cat Conway, and chewbaka bannon they are a propaganda machine. Does no good for Newsweek to call them out either. His base doesn't read and if you tell them as much they will deny it.

with his cheerleaders. Does anyone know how many of those assembled for his press conference were actually reporters and how many were DT's own people?
