A Couple of Names You REALLY Should Know

Felix Sater
Aleksandr Dugin

Quite a few DU posts about Sater in recent years-

Trump scurries out of the room when his name is mentioned, probably with good reason.

Just as Dugin walks off the same BBC Panorama interview "Trump- the Kremlin Candidate" (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017420168)
When asked about Putin and murder.

As we experience a planet-load of daily outrages and distractions in the coming days, keeping an eye on the bigger picture will probably keep us from inadvertently becoming "useful idiots" ourselves.

The philosopher known as “Putin’s brain” is a big fan of Trump
From Quartz-

The Russian president and the president-elect of the United States are on remarkably good terms, given the two countries’ lingering resentments since the Cold War. If this relationship causes unease for those with concerns about hacking, dictatorial control, or human rights, understanding the philosopher nicknamed “Putin’s Brain” will only deepen this sense of alarm.

Political scientist Aleksandr Dugin, with his pointed beard and imperialist philosophy, would likely be dismissed as too over-the-top to play a convincing Bond villain.

He is virulently opposed to globalism, the international elite, and the existing geopolitical structure where the US is the clear superpower. Instead, he advocates for a world of multiple political powers, each representing bloc of countries. No surprise, then, that Dugin believes Russian should be one such global power.

In Dugin’s utopia, Russia would lead “Eurasia,” which would essentially cover the land mass that was once the former Soviet Union. As the website Bigthink explains, Eurasia would stand for hierarchy, tradition, and strict legal structure, and would be an ideological counterpoint to “Atlantis,” namely the liberalism, individual rights, and free markets represented by North America and Europe.

Dugins book "The Foundations of Geopolitics: The Geopolitical Future of Russia"
From Wikipedia-
The book declares that "the battle for the world rule of [ethnic] Russians" has not ended and Russia remains "the staging area of a new anti-bourgeois, anti-American revolution." The Eurasian Empire will be constructed "on the fundamental principle of the common enemy: the rejection of Atlanticism, strategic control of the USA, and the refusal to allow liberal values to dominate us."

…..
The book emphasizes that Russia must spread Anti-Americanism everywhere: "the main 'scapegoat' will be precisely the U.S."

In the United States:

Russia should use its special forces within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."[1]

You must read this understand Putin's strategy and his support for the nationalist insurgencies in Europe and America. Bannon has already met with European nationalist leaders. One has to wonder if the CIA has more information on this collaboration.

Their goal is to destroy liberal democracy.

I'm sure Putin and Dugin can't believe their luck. Trump in the WH advances their agenda at warp speed.

It looks like his plan is what Putin has been executing for the last decade or more. By putting his thumb on the scales of American democracy, Putin has aided and abetted the creation of Dugin's vision for the USA. In this vision it doesn't matter so much who's in power so long as the end goal is being achieved:

Russia should use its special forces within the borders of the United States to fuel instability and separatism, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists". Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics."

In this case "special forces" are not Spetsnaz teams, but a army of hackers, trolls and provocateurs. Through them, Putin has been taking advantage of a pre-existing, growing split in American society by driving a wedge into it, forcing it ever wider and preventing it from closing.

There is no question in my mind that this recipe has been followed, with enormous success.
