The @nytimes is definitely stepping up its headline game, which is necessary to rise to the challenge we face.

They gave him a pass, gave him billions of dollars worth of free coverage, and held him to virtually no standards whatsoever while they harped non-stop about the evils of Hillary's emails (are you still fucking yourself, Andrea Mitchell? Get back to it!).

The MSM has a lot to answer for. They deserve no forgiveness until they're up to nailing the trump regime for every lie it emits.

someone posted a good plausible analysis that they only need their lunatic supporters to believe their lies and distrust the media. People like us will trust the MSM more and know the administration is always lying. and people in the middle will be disgusted by the whole thing and just not care, not pay attention, and not vote.

Something like that.

Or this focus on the vote is going to be an excuse to forcibly stop minorities from voting or some such nonsense. As it is a lot of Born in the USA minorities get told to go back where we didn't come from.

They know that the voters are getting increasingly diverse. Democrats have a demographic advantage in many states.

Trump seems to have forced the media to reverse the decades-old trend towards false equivalency and a reluctance to call politicians out on blatant lies. That's a good thing. When they get it wrong, they can apologize. A first step in holding politicians accountable.

Unlike many, I'm not convinced that his seeming obsession with this subject is actually some clever Machiavellian mind game. I think that he's truly obsessed with it, just like he was obsessed with his birther beliefs.

The man may be suffering from mental illness, dementia, or the effects of drug abuse. Having him in office is a dangerous situation. I hope that both parties in Congress can see that. Pence would be horrible, and Democrats wojld have to fight him tooth and nail, but I don't think he'd destroy NATO or start nuclear war.

Is project what he has done, is doing to deflect attention off himself. Everything he does is about look over there while I run my con. Most everything he say is made up stuff or a lie, Democrats and especially congress needs to figure that out fast. Everything he says or does is to benefit himself personally. On one side, the declining voice of MSM and its weakening ability to arbitrate agendas, support national mythology, and describe truths.

On the other side, the Master of Social Media, casting about after the same goals, realizing those goals do not come pro forma with his mastery.

If the "Master" thinks he has achieved his goals, he will cease dealing with NYT & virtually all of MSM.

If the NYT et al achieves its goals, they will have unknowingly (perhaps), but necessarily created the New Model of legitimacy which any nation needs to survive.
